Can I retrieve text messages that have been deleted?

I recently read that if donating an old cell phone to call carrier and get them to tell you how to REALLY delete info on phone or otherwise numbers, text messages, etc, can still be retrieved even if the user has deleted them. My question is I have T-Mobile service and a RAZR phone and I am wondering if anyone knows how to retrieve text messages? I wrote something a while back that I really needed to save. Thanks.

once you delete a message, whether text or voice it is gone and can’t be retrieved thru normal process.

the info you are referring to above is done by a special program that is out there for corporate use only. if u don’t do a hard reset and default back to factory settings then ur info can be retrieved. there was an article in the paper about a mo or 2 ago that there was a corporation testing out a new software and were surprised by the results cause they found text from a man having an affair and also info on someone’s palm in regards to a huge business deal they were trying to land. the testers did return the devices back to the original owners cause it did have personal info on it but this is still all in the beginning phases and hasn’t been patented yet.

so unfortunately, no. they can’t be retrieved as of yet.

The short answer is no, unless you are in a position where there is a legal requirement to retrieve them.

It’s gone for good, with T-Mobile text messages are saved on the T-Mobile network. If you take you SIM card and put it in another phone, your text messages go with it. (Not all phones can do that) I have a Motorola V360
